Rating: 4/5

This extremly short story was my choice of relaxation between my current reads. The main character would be Amy, sister of Jay and Craig. The three sibling are supernatural hunters and they take us in the mysterious forest where Faeries appear and make people dissapear.

I loved the description of the Faeries, their "green emerald skin" and hair "made of twigs and thistles" making my imagination run far into the deep forest.

Since the three siblings are hunters, there is also a fight between the Faeries and them, fight in which Amy is taken away. What is there to happen to her and her brothers is up to you to find out!

I really liked the ending, its mystery making the reader wonder about the Faery life and their actions.

The story starts with a poem entitled Dark Light also written by the author. At a second read after I've finished the story it made me undestand something more about the Faeries, creatures that live with some sort of curse that makes them wonder only at night.

"Dawn expands its grip anew
As wild and cursed things
Retreat back into night
Light's sanctuary brings"

Quotes:

The trees rustled in the cool evening breeze and made it hard to hear any movement around us. As the night approached, the lights became clearer, marking the Faeries in the distance.

In the distance, firefly-like glowing orbs reflected back towards us. I sucked in my breath, steading my bow as I swept my flashlight back and forth, counting the lights. Faery lights were tribes that haunted the woods around the city.
